My vision/mission is to provide a stimulating and supportive learning-base to help the individual to realize their potential in both their professional and personal life. I am interested in dealing with the "whole person" who recognises that life is one great learning curve, and who is prepared to learn the skills to enhance their life in its entirety. For some people this is to increase their confidence and become better leaders in their field of work. For others it is to learn to cope better with both corporate and personal stress. Still another needs to upskill in the area of communication, so that they can relate more effectively with the people they interact with both at work and home. The passive personal may need to learn to be more assertive so that the pathway is cleared for them to forge ahead in both their professional and private life. Then too we may have the manager who is having difficulty in motivating his/her team, and needs some support and training in this area. I have also had some MD's who, because of their position (it's lonely at the top) needed somebody they could trust to talk openly to. They also needed 'somebody there just for them' in a supportive and interactive role. In some instances only mentoring is required to achieve the best result, in others, some 'straight' coaching in life-skills. Though often I find that a combination of both is the answer. I have found that people's individual needs vary as much as does the person themselves. Therefore I believe that it is important to ground the life-skills taught in what is reality for the person. Acquiring the skills we lack is a 'rounding-out' and personal growth process. To achieve the desired result, whether in the work-force or at home, the process must begin within.
The combination of a person who is open and willing to work, and my experience, skill-base and commitment to helping them achieve results - will prove successful, as we journey together.
It is my hope that the 10 self-help, skills training books and tapes I have researched and written may prove to be of help and value to you. They are very positive, down-to-earth and simply written as practical tools-to-work with should be. In them I have shared what I know works, and if followed, will lead to a better quality of life-because they will personally empower you to achieve this. All of them can also be used as a personal self-help course.
